Seducing Eve - Indie Band Interview

Seducing Eve

When the Red Hot Chili Peppers first began to form back in the early 80s, record execs wanted to put Anthony Kiedis in front, and have the rest of the band be cast in the shadows. The band did not want to be perceived this way, thereby nixing the entire idea, and since then have made individual personalities as each band member, making up the band - the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Seducing Eve gave me the same first impression. I was given one member’s email, Praz, thinking he would just send me his answers and that would be it. However, his decision to collaborate with the rest of the band proves that Seducing Eve understands what it is to be a band. Working together on the smallest tasks makes the larger ones that much easier. Read more

Ryan Tigro
Phoenixville, PA

The night started out simply enough. I had a rough week and a friend asked me to hit a bar with her over in Phoenixville (PA). So off I went to Destiny Brewing, with the full intention and a promise to myself that I wouldn’t work - no scouting bands; just a drink and good company. My friend wanted to leave early, but I convinced her to stay a little longer so I could check out Ryan Tigro. Read more

Polymer - Indie Band Interview

Polymer
Philadelphia, PA
www.polymermusic.com
Polymer is Matt Fonda, Dan LaPorta, Ben Weldon, Jon Aldinger, and their latest addition, Candice Harris. Polymer is a rock band from, for the most part, the Bucks/Montgomery County area. Normally, when I conduct an interview with a band for the site, it’s pretty straight-forward. I e-mail some questions, they e-mail responses. Well, this was no different. Except for one little thing. Matt and Ben, the two band members who took the time to answer my questions, just exuded a level of personality in their answers that most bands’ responses are lacking. I was surprised, thrown off a bit at first, but definitely interested. The more I learn about the band, the more I want to know. I hope that you feel the same way. Read more
Phredley - Indie Artist Interview

Phredley
Michigan

It was a Saturday morning in late November and I had an impressive hangover and a freezing cold apartment. I was sitting on my couch flipping through the channels trying to find anything to do besides homework Howard The Duck and Hellraiser XXII just weren’t looking like good prospects when I suddenly realized that I had an assignment to do for AudioXposure. I went to my email and apprehensively clicked on the link my editor Jenn had given me to this artist Phredley’s web page. Read more

Pan.a.ce.a – literal definition: a cure-all – AX definition: something that crawls under your skin like a f*ing parasite, infecting your blood, your mind, and your soul, and whose only cure is downing another shot of their poison; only the poison of Pan.a.ce.a isn’t too difficult to stomach. Overlook

Rarely do I get the chance to see a band that I review perform live. Lucky for me, and the band, I was able to make the trip down horrible I-95, through Philly’s traffic and moronic drivers, to the island vista: Kahunaville. Known for its tropical theme, drink specials and booming hip hop club scene, I was quite interested in how a local band is going to perform and more importantly, where. The usual ogles my doo-doo colored car receives were averted to the modded parking lot at hand. Rims on everything imaginable, sound systems as loud as the muffled bass from the deck behind me and the bling to go with it. A picture welcoming more questions: umm this band I’m going to see is a rock band… Read more

One Star Hotel
Philadelphia, PA
“At midnight on December 31, 1999 I was walking down the street in Philadelphia and this storm came up and lightning struck me and three other people that happened to be walking near me. When we woke up from the shock, we realized that we had each been given superpowers on different musical instruments–Rick on bass, Alec on drums, Daryl on keyboards and myself on guitar. We are simply fulfilling our destiny.” Read more
